Job Summary:

The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to lead and supervise the team to ensure the reliability of our manufacturing processes. This includes stabilizing the performance of physical assets, defining, and setting standards for the proper management and care of the assets and installations under his/her responsibility while ensuring optimum levels of availability, at the lowest total cost of ownership. This individual will also be a primary source of education to the workforce in the discipline of reliability. The Reliability Engineer will interact with all functions in the facility and at all levels to ensure that Reliability of the assets is considered whenever decisions are made. In the performance of his/her responsibilities, the Reliability Engineer provides expertise and leadership in the following aspects of reliability:

  • Reliability Roadmap: (1)Understand the current state of the facility regarding key Reliability elements; and (2) Develop and implement a reliability roadmap for the facility, that includes specific focus areas.
  • Owns preventive and predictive maintenance system including the development and refinement of the preventive/predictive maintenance program in a systematic, professional manner coordinating all efforts with equipment custodians and maintenance management to ensure the program is properly approved and endorsed by both departments. Additionally, interacts with operators, managers, planners, supervisors, and engineers on a regular basis to ensure the effectiveness of the PM / PdM system and TPM strategy.
  • Provides administration, control, and analysis of all data, records, and equipment histories to continually review and refine PM frequencies including coordinating and training on PdM techniques for selected maintenance personnel on the following topics:

Vibration analysis; Thermography; Oil Sampling and Analysis; and Ultrasound / Ultrasonic

  • Coordinates the development, implementation and review of the asset management strategy for each critical asset in the facility. The asset management strategy contains: Asset Functional Description; Functional Analysis; Asset Record Summary; Criticality Analysis; FMEA; Life Cycle Cost Analysis; Capacity Plan; Equipment Maintenance Plan (EMP); Bill of Materials (BOM); Technical References and Drawings;
  • Uses statistical analysis techniques in the development of engineering solutions to repetitive equipment failures and other equipment problems, implementing ways of reducing the need for maintenance and ultimately eliminating the occurrence of failures. Repetitive failures are identified, and the PM is refined by dynamic and relevant: Review of predictive and other inspections; Analysis of equipment histories, maintenance cost reports, and failure report; Review of service and inspection records; and Analysis of work order data
  • Perform Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)as specified by the Reliability Master Plan for the facility by coordinating and/or performing Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for all significant failures in the facility.
  • Develop and define the Key Performance Indicators for Reliability for the facility by creating, managing, and communicating the monthly Reliability Dashboard for the facility base on the above KPI.
  • Provide coaching to members of the organization in Reliability including identifying and providing for extended education needs such as workshops, classes, lectures, discussion groups, etc.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar Engineering field
  • Equivalent technical experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Five (5) industrial experience in similar position.
  • Must possess strong written and communication skills.
  • Programs experience: MS office (Word, excel, power point) and CMMS.
  • Detail Oriented.

Compensation:
$84,000-120,000 (Dependent on Qualifications)
