Position Overview:

The Triage Nurse provides COVID-related triage support to our contracted clients, medical providers, and clinic staff. Provides exceptional service and quality treatment options to the patient and client throughout the COVID life-cycle.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Triage COVID-19 calls by conducting initial screening questionnaires
• Provide guidance and education to employees regarding COVID-19
• Address return to work status
• Act as liaison between employee/client and medical providers
• Research/locate testing facilities
• Follow up on COVID-related case assignments
• Provide updates, diagnosis, clinic notes and treatment authorization requests to designated representative for client.
• Bill time for each case according to services rendered.
• Answer phones in a professional manner.
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Assist in office related tasks as needed.
• Participate in opportunities for learning and skill maintenance/development, including internal and external training and workshops.
• Other duties assigned by the supervisors.

Licensures/Certification:

• Must possess and retain a valid RN license for the state of Louisiana or compact multistate license.

Experience:

• Previous triage experience in ER or Urgent Care preferred
• Minimum two (2) years practicing as a Registered Nurse
