Now Hiring – Remote Dispensing Technology Coordinator – [Springfield NJ]
Hours: M-F 8:00am to 4:30pm
The Remote Dispensing Technology Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Primary contact regarding technical and mechanical issues with the Passport/Omnicell/ and1st Dose dispensing machines for both Nursing facilities and pharmacy staff.
- Manages installations, deployments, applications of the dispensing machines.
- Coordinates with manufacturers regarding technical or mechanical problems regarding dispensing technology
- Travels to 20+ various Long Term Care Facilities (LTCF) to check and maintain machine integrity including medications contained in the machines
- Responsible for adding/removing or modifying configurations of medications requested by LTCF management
- Coordinates with the pharmacy in sending medications which are needed by facilities
- Provide in-services with LTCF nursing staff in using and performing daily functions with the machine
- Assist in facility staff and administrators in investigations to detect diversion of different medications
- Troubleshoot technical issues, mechanical failures, medication questions, and security protocols
- Monitors communication process of dispensing machines and pharmacy concerns.
- Coordinating with facility management and staff regarding usage and inquiries
- Ensures maintenance of medications and supplies as well as the units
- Facilitates interpretation of reports by facilities regarding dispensing machines
- Checks medications inside machines for compliance
- Manage inventory for automation units
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience, automation and/or Long term Care
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations
