JOB DESCRIPTION
A client of Insight Global is looking for two L2 Production Digital Application Support/DevOpes Engineers to join their team. These individuals work closely with development teams to plan, deploy, and support multiple applications across their working environments. Daily, the team utilizes best practices to assure smooth application operations across application architecture. The desired candidate:
- Participates in release planning;
- Maintains and assures uptime of containerized applications in hosted environments;
- Monitors service trends to identify opportunities for improvements with existing frameworks, tools, and processes; and,
- Audits and improves system metrics and alarms.
- Monitors and works Operational L2 Ticket Queue
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of direct application support
- Experience in Linux system administration
- Strong Linux troubleshooting skills
- Can identify application issues regarding Linux
- Knows and can troubleshoot the connectivity of an app or web site to an end point (what happens in the background?)
- MySQL skills
- Knows MySQL, SSH and RDP default ports
- Knows what a Docker and a container are and the difference between the two
DESIRED SKILLS
- Azure DevOps
- Knows how to work with Docker
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines
