Job Summary:

AmeriPharma is a specialty pharmacy that publishes numerous blog articles weekly on medical and drug-related topics. AmeriPharma is looking for a pharmacist to fulfill the role of Medical Writer & Editor. This position will review written articles, rewrite portions where necessary, and edit the articles for clinical accuracy for a target audience with no special medical knowledge. The medical writer should have the ability to produce accurate, easy-to-read content that general audiences can understand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Edit large quantities of medical articles, ensure medical accuracy, and rewrite portions if necessary.
• Fact-check clinical information in articles by performing online research.
• Maintain a high standard of quality across all articles, regardless of the original quality of writing that was submitted for review.
• Meet hard deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent writing and editing skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Broad knowledge of pharmacy, medical, and drug-related topics

• Familiarity with Google docs and its editing/suggesting features
• Proven ability to translate complex medical terminology and concepts into layman’s terms

Education and Experience Requirements:

• PharmD or RPh credential is a MUST

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience writing or editing medical content is preferred
• Strong command of English language and grammar
• Some familiarity with AP Style is a plus
