Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Research Associate will participate in supporting the business needs of laboratory processing, testing, research and development for the Integrated Research and Development Laboratory (IRDL) in the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI). The mission of IRDL is to support scientist and clinician investigators with laboratory needs to meet the goals of research projects.
Positions are grant funded for the testing of SARS-CoV-2 in response to federally funded, high priority studies and will be available until on or about April 2023.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.)
60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution that, at a minimum, includes either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses,
OR
24 semester hours of science courses that include six semester hours of chemistry, six semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
Preferred/Optional: Major in biology, microbiology, or molecular biology.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: One or more years’ working in a research or clinical laboratory.
