We are currently looking for an Assistant Residence Manager for our residential location located in the Fort Greene , Fla bush, Midwood, BayRidge area of Brooklyn, NY. If you are looking for a career in the Human Services field, we encourage you to APPLY!

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in related field preferred (High school diploma/GED required)
  • 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, AMAP, SCIP and working knowledge of OPWDD regulations required
  • Minimum of five year's of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Excellent communication, written, organizational, and math skills a must
  • This position does require evening and weekend hours
  • Valid NYS driver's license a must

Responsibilities:

  • Immediate supervisory responsibility over Direct Support Professionals
  • Responsible for creating staff schedules to ensure proper coverage for the needs of the program
  • Work in partnership with the Residence Manager and Director to ensure day to day tasks and duties are completed
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable agencies
  • Model and teach appropriate therapeutic interactions
  • Will be responsible for provision of individual's program planning at assigned residence. This includes but is not limited to assessment, development, implementation and monitoring of functional, clearly written and creating training programs
  • Will monitor goal related progress on an ongoing basis, prepare a monthly note of progress including recommendations as to the course of training, and as needed will update goal plans
  • Assisting the Program Planning Team in collaborating with other service providers to ensure consistent and quality services for the individuals
  • In coordination with the Residence Manager, will provide staff training consistent with core curriculum and staff observations of service delivery and work practices
