JOB TITLE: Residential Assistant

JOB DETAILS:

The Residential Assistant provides our guests supportive assistance to maintain a safe, welcoming, and clean environment and is the bridge to meeting the needs of the person as required/needed.

Salary

$18.73/hr.

Specialties

Education: High School/GED; any appropriate combination of education, experience, and/or certification may be considered.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar job role preferred.

Language: Proficiency in oral/written English. Bilingual (i.e., Spanish) preferred; additional languages a plus (i.e., Creole).

Skills: Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel, other data collecting programs).

Requirements

Successful completion of Toxicology test, L2 and local background screening.

Valid FL Driver License with clean driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

ABOUT CAMILLUS: For more than 62 years, Camillus House has provided a variety of programs to address the needs of individuals who are mentally ill and suffer from substance abuse disorders, with the end goal of helping them achieve housing stability. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be comfortable working directly with highly vulnerable populations in an outpatient basis as part of a multidisciplinary street outreach program.
• Welcomes our guests in a hospitable manner in order to establish a positive connection.
• Performs daily monitoring of all structures and units at the facility.
• Responsible for reading daily logs, follows-up on any concerns from the previous shift regarding safety and health.
• Assists clients with daily activities.
• Assists staff with conducting random urinalysis.
• Ensures that facility is always clean.
• Assists in the removal and disposal of furniture, fixtures, and other debris.
• Ensures the dispensation and storage of supplies.
• Conducts room inspections and documents any maintenance repairs needed.
• Answers phones and takes messages when necessary.
• Informs supervisor of any problems that occur in the evening and early morning hours.
• Helps clients resolve any issues that may arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
