Elk Hill is currently recruiting for QMHP Residential Counselors at our Elk Hill Spring Garden Group Home in Fluvanna County, VA. We are seeking positive role models to work directly with the youth of Elk Hill in our trauma informed residential group homes. We need employees that provide direct support and want to lead our youthful clients through life-changing decisions during this key point in their lives. Residential Counselors will be intervening during crisis situations and supporting them through various other activities. We hope that you also want to set the highest standards to help our clients meet the goals and objectives outlined in their service plans!

If you decide to apply, we are hoping that you:

  • Possess a minimum of an associate degree in a human services or special education field AND one year of clinical experience providing direct support in behavioral health services to children.
  • Have previous experience working with youth in a residential/group home setting,
  • Understand psychiatric diagnoses and have worked with the mental health population
  • Can advocate for our youth and be a positive role model
