SERVICE: New Beginnings Center, Residential Services for Children & Youth
HOURS: Full-time and part-time hours available. Work shifts include overnight shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide supervision and support for youth in group care. The qualified applicant will provide direct client care, maintain/model appropriate boundaries, and teach applicable coping and problem-solving skills. Complete reports and documentation as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: The residential counselor position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science field OR 48 credit hours of post-secondary education and a minimum of 1-year experience working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience. For the residential worker position, a high school diploma or GED and experience working with youth are preferred.
Must be at least 21 years old and be able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes. Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications.
