Responsibilities

In keeping with the Dignity Health Core Values, under a patient focused model, based on theory, practice and research, achieves a quality of technical services, based on an optimal level of health, including support of a peaceful death; actively participates in the delivery of Pulmonary Medicine Services. A recent graduate of an approved Respiratory therapy program with less than (6) months experience.

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current California licensure as an RCP CRTT
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrates proficient and technical skills in the performance of respiratory therapies
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of current trends in respiratory therapies; specialty technical standards, equipment and supplies; safety principals and practices.

Special Skills:
  • Must also demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with other departments, medical staff and co-workers; treats public courteously, tactfully and professionally.
  • Meets Dignity Health standard physical requirements for staff involved in direct patient care.
