Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) RN to join our growing team! In your role, you'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with a close-knit team while providing care to Cardiac patients with various medical comorbidities. As part of the largest inpatient unit in our hospital, with 64 monitored beds, and a patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 (depending on acuity), you will be integral to the continuum of care for our medical telemetry patients. Community Regional Medical Center is the largest of our three main hospitals and the flagship hospital of the Central Valley. This academic-affiliated, Level 1 Trauma Center is located on a 58-acre campus in downtown Fresno. Responsibilities: In your role, you will:
Collect and analyze comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation to determine the diagnosis.
Develop, implement, and coordinate a plan in a timely manner that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes in a safe environment. Provide appropriate health education to patients and others as appropriate.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes which systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and patient Safety.
Attain knowledge and competencies that reflect current nursing practice and evaluate own nursing practice in -relation to professional practice standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:
Education
  • Graduate of approved nursing program required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
  • Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
