RN/NURSING SUPERVISOR
COMPETITIVE RATES
FULL TIME - 2nd SHIFT
The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, a skilled nursing and independent living community, is actively seeking candidates for RN/Nursing Supervisor positions. This position will supervise staffing for the provision of services to residents, assisting residents to maintain/attain their highest level of function in an environment of wellness, kindness, compassion, dignity, respect, and caring.
The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg is offering a $5,000 sign-on/retention bonus for RN/Nursing Supervisors. Occasional, or casual, positions do not qualify. Bonuses will be paid in increments over a specified period of time.
Responsibilities:
- Directs day-to-day functions of nursing activities.
- Assures that care is provided to residents in compliance and consultation with the residents’ physicians.
- Completes unit rounds and visits each resident at least daily.
- Participates in shift to shift reporting process.
- Participates in developing the residents’ plans of care and makes staff assignments to meet the residents’ needs.
- Communicates pertinent information, such as changes in residents’ plans of care, to the Director of Nursing on a daily basis.
- Documents assessments of skilled residents and changes in resident conditions in resident records and on the 24-hour report on a daily basis.
- Assess needs of newly admitted residents and initiates residents’ plans of care.
- Maintains supplies, equipment, and reference materials to support the care needs of the residents.
- Participates in data gathering and analysis for Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement process.
- Establishes a hospitable, safe environment to promote customer satisfaction.
- Reports all accidents/incidents and changes in a residents condition observed on shift.
- This is a supervisory position that reports to the Director of Nursing.
- The hours and days of work vary as needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an RN program and a current PA license.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
