Responsibilities
A registered professional nurse with advanced knowledge and clinical expertise who provides clinical program leadership and consultation to the Central Coast Service Area South (St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St John’s Hospital Camarillo) staff and leaders involved in the RN Residency Program. Responsible for coordinating and implementing the RN Residency Program. Utilizes independent judgment and discretion as a consultant to the Manager of the RN Residency Program by distributing work and assigning tasks to preceptors and facilitators in order to meet the programs expected outcomes. Implements the program according to timeline and ensures adherence to standards for all program components. Utilizes discretion to evaluate performance of RN Residents. Performs duties in support of, and in compliance with, the Dignity Health’s performance improvement plan, TJC and other licensing and regulatory agency requirements/standards.

Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements – Education and Experience
Current California Registered Nurse License
Bachelor's in Nursing
Minimum of 3 years registered nursing experience in an acute care setting.

Preferred/Desired Education and Experience:
Master's in Nursing
1-2 years experience providing education to staff.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledgeable in principles of adult learning theory and curriculum development.
Microsoft Office: Intermediate skill level required in MS word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.Demonstrates leadership and independent critical thinking.
Demonstrates organizational core values and communication skills and effortlessly works with nursing and other health care providers.
Travel Required for the Job
Travel expected throughout the southern Central Coast Service Area (St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital).
