Cheney Brothers is looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to join our transportation team in Roanoke, VA.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements
We have immediate openings for drivers. As a driver for Cheney Brothers, you will safely and efficiently operate commercial motor vehicles in transit. Our drivers must have a positive, friendly attitude, and possess great customer service skills.

Requirements:
21+ years of age.
Must hold Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a favorable driving record.
Must have a Hazmat Endorsement or be able to obtain one.
1 year minimum tractor/trailer driving experience preferred.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Must pass a background check.
Must have verifiable employment or explanation for unemployment for the last 10 years.
Must be able to lift heavy weight (up to 100 lbs); push, pull freight or other equipment weighing up to 500 lbs with equipment assistance; twist, turn, climb and reach frequently, and hook and unhook commercial vehicle combinations.
Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Must be highly dependable, trustworthy and honest.
Must have flexibility regarding hours worked – overtime as required, weekends and holidays.
Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020. About Us
