Routing Specialist- Direct Hire

Pay- $18-$19/hr

Duties:

· Works with customer service representatives, distribution leadership, and carriers to ensure all orders are prioritized and scheduled for shipment to optimize productivity and meet routing requirements.

· Notifies operations leaders of all requested changes from the customer or carrier regarding scheduling and shipping windows.

· Uses routing software to review and maintain routing guides, quote shipment rates, route shipments, and monitor carrier pick up compliance.

· Appropriately expedites orders and alerts departmental supervisors promptly.

· Creates bills of lading (BOL) and customs documents for carrier drivers ahead of scheduled appointment.

· Checks in and signs out carrier drivers in professional and cordial manner.

· Generates billing upon carrier pick up.

· Processes small package shipments using FedEx/UPS/USPS vendors.

· Proactively communicates issues with carrier appointments and escalates appropriately as needed.

· Creates and communicates daily progress report throughout the day.

· Maintains documentation on a daily basis and adheres to document retention program.

· Maintains an organized and tidy workspace.

· Supports facility KPIs related to safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements:

1 year of routing experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and WMS

2 years routing experience in manufacturing or distribution industry is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
