Stanley Consultants is seeking a Liaison to partner with our DeBary office. This position will serve as a liaison to local agency stakeholders such as government transportation engineering departments, law enforcement, construction/maintenance project teams, emergency managers, and special event managers to coordinate mapping updates and navigation alerts via 3rd party platforms such as Waze, Google, Apple, and TomTom with the goal of improved reliability and safety of our transportation system. The individual in this role will be responsible for making the base map updates for roadway configuration changes, providing special messaging or alerts relating to temporary or permanent road closures, and event-specific details for special events such as the Daytona 500, Space Launches, Bowl Games, or natural disaster events.
The individual should have strong communication and analytical skills and be able to work independently with minimal oversight. Prior experience in traffic management and/or mapping is highly desired. This position will work out of a client site in Sanford, FL and requires shift schedules with nonstandard work hours, which may include overnights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (civil engineering, GIS, government relations, etc.) + 1 year of experience in traffic management or 5 years of traffic management or other relative experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledge and/or experience in the principles of Traffic Incident Management
- Ability to obtain and keep an FDLE background clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with FDOT’s SunGuide software
- Experience with navigation map editing
