What we’re looking for
butter is looking for a Sales Manager to drive business through lead generation and achieving sales targets. This critical role is responsible for building, motivating, and mentoring a top talent Sales Team that is passionate about introducing our brand to the market. They will directly work with the Growth and Finance Team to create sales forecasts as well as partner with Marketing to create promotional strategies based off customer sell through and competitor analysis. The Sales Manager role will be based out of our Head Quarters in Oakland County.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Managing and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Managing invoices and vendor payments
- Generating New Business Leads, owning company wholesale sales targets, and managing regional sales representative team
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the sale.
- Forecasting, customer targeting, driving sales.
- Strategic planning.
- Record keeping and maintaining accurate accounting.
- Assists with SOP creation and implementation.
- Ensures accurate record keeping.
- Assists with compliance documentation and upkeep.
- Flexible availability
- Handling plant product or samples
- Assists in maintaining METRC compliance as needed.
- Event coordination and offsite activities as required.
- Hiring and recruiting
- Any additional duties as determined by Management.
- Able to develop and sustain a “lean startup” culture of constant experimentation and learning.
- Ensure all state regulations are followed and documentation is prepared and submitted as required.
Who you are
- 5 years’ experience in sales and business development
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Cannabis sales.
- Skilled in relationship building
- Has an upbeat positive personality with exceptional people skills
- Is comfortable speaking in public in front of large and small audiences
- A highly motivated self-starter
- Has cannabis knowledge including products, strains and consumption methods
- Gives and receives feedback to help grow your team
- Has the willingness to be flexible to adapt for the needs of the business
- Passionate about learning and sharing expertise with others
- Has the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Can manage conflict resolutions
- Regulations require that the candidate must be 21 years of age and pass any and all background checks
Technical Skills
- Experience with seed to sale systems and METRC is a bonus
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Inventory management experience
