Overview

The Sales Manager role focuses on ensuring that company sales goals are met or exceeded including achieving all key business metrics while following the California Closets policies and procedures. This role ensures that the Design Consultants are delivering on the California Closets standards of excellence with each and every customer. The Sales Manager also collaborates with the Operations Team to ensure that the process flow is being followed and results in delivering on a high standard of customer service at all touchpoints.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and retain top talent based the budgeted number of Design Consultants
  • Manage a Team of Design Consultants and Sales Leads ensuring all company revenue goals and key performance indicators are met or exceeded
  • Ensure direct reports are delivering on an exception customer experience with every customer touch point
  • Manage Customer Liaison to ensure bookings are completed within 72 business hours and a 90% conversion rate is achieved
  • Performance manage underperformers following performance management guidelines to improve results including detailed documentation
  • Collaborate with Sales Leads to ensure all mandatory training is completed as per training strategy for new and on-going training and development including classroom and CC Academy courses
  • Ensure Design Team has the appropriate mix of company leads and personal marketing plan leads
  • Work with Design Consultants to create a Personal Marketing Plan
  • Collaborate with head office operations team on process flow and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct monthly goal setting and reviews with all Team members
  • Manage day-to-day performance of all sales team members and deliver Monthly Goal Setting and Reviews
  • Manage sales contests and incentive programs and collaborate with GM on creation
  • Schedule and facilitate monthly Sales Meeting including coordination with guest speakers and head office personnel
  • Analyze sales data and develop strategy to address areas of opportunity
  • Coach and develop direct reports
  • Embody company culture and consistently share credo moments with Team
  • Work with GM to develop a sustainable trade business strategy
  • Ensure correct usage of CRM (dashboard) including quality of data entry, statuses etc.
  • Review feedback through Listen 360 and follow up on all negative responses with customer and or Design Consultant, communicate findings to GM
  • Work with the GM to develop a sustainable charitable strategy
  • Manager customer escalations to ensure satisfaction and update Team accordingly

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years in a Sales Consultant or Sales Management role preferred
  • Industry experience an asset
  • Proven sales coach and mentor
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
  • Exceptional customer experience skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic
  • Experience with design fundamentals preferred
  • Experience with CAD an asset
