Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced and dedicated Saltwater Husbandry Team Member to join our team and help us maintain and care for our diverse collection of marine animals and exhibits. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high degree of attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

Daily care and maintenance of animal exhibits and collection
Performing public presentations and feeding demonstrations for large groups of guests
Preparing food for animal collection
Recognizing and addressing disease issues
Keeping behind-the-scenes areas clean and organized
Working in a team environment and assisting in other areas as needed
Dive certification is preferred

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion
Must have the ability to see, hear, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Must be able to swim on occasion

Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelor's Degree in Marine Biology, Zoology, Biology, or a related field is preferred, but experience may be substituted
Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and an outgoing personality
Ability to work well unsupervised
Flexible schedule and ability to work holidays and weekends
Experience with plumbing and electrical is a plus
