ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Assists with the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program. Customizes and configures workflow to allow the integration of client/server applications. Tests ERP layout to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs.
This position is responsible for ongoing support of an SAP ECC 6 environment to allow ORBIS to effectively manage its business. It is responsible for the evaluation of business requirements, determination of potential design considerations, implementation of designed solution, and ongoing support of SAP functionality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily/Weekly
- Responsible for the development and support of module specific SAP functionality and processes across the business
- Responsible for evaluating, implementing, and supporting business requirements for our domestic and foreign operations
- Ensure module of expertise within SAP functions in unison with other SAP modules
- Assist in the development and implementation of improved business processes
- Support in resolving SAP application issues submitted by the end user community
- Support of system enhancement initiatives and expanding SAP system functionality
- Consultation and recommendations in the use of SAP to the user community
- Application training to the ORBIS user community
- Perform SAP functionality evaluations and testing to satisfy requirements
- Provide effective solutions to business requirements using existing SAP applications
- Identify and define effective process and procedural changes to maximize application utilization
- Project(s)
- Participate in all phases of the application development cycle including needs assessment, project planning, implementation, training, and on-going support
- Develop process designs and specifications, including both ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ documentation
- Coordinate and conduct system testing
- Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing
- Provide process documentation
- Develop technical specifications and/or programming for identified reporting requirements
- Recommend solutions for requirements that are not met by existing applications. (May be modifications, enhancements, and/or new software)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of organization's total Information Technology (IT) environment
- Knowledge of and ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
- Knowledge of application design activities, tools and techniques; ability to utilize these to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design
- Knowledge of and experience with implementing purchased application software and integrating It with company applications, data bases and technology platforms
- Knowledge of application testing and ability to design, plan and execute application testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality throughout all stages of application development
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Required:
- Minimum 2 years of SAP Configuration / Technical Expertise in one or more of the following SAP Modules, Version ECC 6.0: PP, SD, MM, FICO, LE
- Understanding of SAP tables and associated links within module of expertise
- Familiarity with both Make-To-Stock and Make-To-Order business processes
- Familiarity with discrete manufacturing
- Experience gathering customer requirements, designing and implementation of solution
- Ability to provide detailed specifications for ABAP Development or Integration Teams
- Knowledge of and experience with implementing purchased application software and integrating It with company applications, data bases and technology platforms
- Knowledge of application testing and ability to design, plan and execute application testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality throughout all stages of application development
- Experience providing SAP specific end-user training as needed.
- Experience developing end-user training documentation
- Strong analytical skills
- Desired:
- 5+ years of SAP Configuration / Technical Expertise in one or more relevant SAP modules
- Technical knowledge / Experience related to any of the following: S/4 HANA. ABAP Programming Language, SMARTFORMS and/or PDF-Based Forms, Familiarity with SAP BADI’s and User-Exits, IDOC’s/EDI
- Familiarity with SAP Variant-Configuration
- Inter-Company Experience
- International Business experience
