Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ months with the opportunity for CONTRACT TO HIRE
Required Skills:
· Advanced troubleshooting ability with core Windows Components, software, and hardware
· Upgrading, and support of Microsoft Windows Desktop applications and OS (Windows Servicing in an Enterprise scale)
· Experience troubleshooting SCCM, software deployments, imaging, patching, and other OS issues
· Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SCCM, WSUS, and core administrative Windows OS tools
· Experience troubleshooting various software on Windows OS
· Experience deploying system and security patches to a Windows environment
· AD experience and Workstation Policies (Group Policy)
· Experience with management of file shares and groups
· Experience troubleshooting Group Policy processing issues
· Foster a learning environment where skills and knowledge are shared to build the Team’s capacity and capabilities.
· Understanding of standard enterprise tools to develop or implement infrastructure hardware, software, or other technical components
· Experience providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve routine problems to ensure infrastructure stability
· Effective writing/verbal communication skills
· Adaptable to modern technology and a willingness to learn
Job Description:
· Provide expertise in all technical aspects of laptop/desktop computing (hardware, OS, major applications)
· Role is 70% Operational Incidents 30% project engineering
· Responsible to the day-to-day operation of Southwest Airlines.
· This role is responsible for Tier 3 escalations, resolving escalated tickets and will be required to work alongside Customers and other Technology support teams.
· Provide training, knowledge transfer to peers and junior Engineers while documenting solutions for escalated incidents
· Hours will be typical workday hours with the occasional late night and weekend work when required or as Customer Requires
· Role will require on-call rotation where the Engineer will be responsible for all off-hours/weekend incident response
· This role allows for remote work but may require the individual to be present at the Dallas HQ given prior notice.
· Little travel may be required to visits stations (Less then 10%)
