ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned. Sets up student body accounts at the beginning of the year; counts all cash and checks turned in to be deposited and posts to appropriate student body accounts; sets up cash boxes for various fundraisers and other club and student body class activities; monitors numbered ticket rolls as a double check for monies collected as well as attendance at activities; deposits all student body monies and posts interest and moves monies from student accounts to Certificate of Deposits when needed; provides financial and statistical data as well as maintains accurate records that are audited each year prepares purchase orders for student purchases; writes student body checks; prepares expenditure lists for approval by the student body cabinet; posts, balances, and checks student body journals and ledgers; prepares student body records for annual audit; maintains accurate records of school budgets and relays information to department heads at the request of the principal; maintains a revolving cash fund and periodically posts expenditures to individual accounts; performs a variety of clerical duties pertaining to student body activities and funds, to school accounting functions, and miscellaneous activities; processes purchase and warehouse orders and tracks inventory of supplies; receives and disburses supplies; prepares budget and expenditure transfers and reimbursement requests for revolving cash; maintains site revolving account funds.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of a variety of computer software programs; methods and practices of financial record keeping; double entry bookkeeping, office methods and procedures; principles and procedures that pertain to school district payroll and accounting. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; perform difficult clerical work and make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy; prepare accurate financial summaries and reports; operate a variety of office machines such as electronic calculator, adding machine and typewriter; deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring tact, good judgment and poise, takes responsibility and uses good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two years of experience in the preparation and maintenance of financial records or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.37 - $26.00 per hour
