Job DescriptionCDL license is required. School bus drivers safely transport passengers and students to and from school. School bus drivers perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, ensuring their school bus is clean and well maintained. School bus drivers assist students with loading and unloading onto the school bus. School bus drivers build rapport with both students and parents. School bus drivers resolve emergency and non-emergency situations that occur on the way to and from school.Duties:Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons.Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends.Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times.Obey all traffic laws.Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route.Ensure safety of all students.Discipline children when required to maintain a safe and healthy environment.Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required.Attend monthly safety meetings.Ability to drive in all weather related conditions.May be asked to provide transportation for non-school hours. (evening, weekend, field trips and events). Upon availability.
