Under the direction of the principal, assist in managing the daily operations of the school, providing clerical support, and conducting reception duties. Also, manage the school’s federal lunch program. The position requires the ability to keep many aspects of the school running smoothly and efficiently with minimal supervision. The applicant must have the ability to multi-task in a busy, productive atmosphere while dealing with interruptions. Positive interaction with students, parents, parishioners, and staff is essential.
RESPONSIBLE TO: School Principal
HOURS: 20-25 per wk including some non-school days and 10-15 per wk during summer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (The essential functions/major responsibilities listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. - Provide exceptional first impressions and customer service
- Maintain open and consistent communication with principal
- Ensure security and confidentiality of data and personal information
- Coordinate substitute teachers and appropriate documentation
- Manage student attendance records
- Collect and manage monies tuition, fees, field trips, events, and prepare for deposit
- Update and maintain family and student information in Educonnect
- Facilitate enrollment process of new families and students
- Fulfill all training requirements for federal lunch program
- Accurately maintain all records and reports for federal lunch program
- In collaboration with the kitchen manager, maintain all requirements to comply with the federal lunch program regulations
- Tabulate student information and billing for the lunch program
- Screen visitors and telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate person
- Screen and route incoming mail, email, respond to parent email when appropriate
- Serve as school heath aid (sometimes blood and other fluids are involved)
- Dispense medication and keep accurate log (Written parent permission required)
- Coordinate hearing and vision testing
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Blood-borne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan
- Manage School Security System, monitors visitors
- Assist with communications to parents, parishioners, and public
- Assist with logistical coordination of daily schedule when special circumstances arise
- Maintain an orderly filing system
- Maintain office equipment
- Assist with lunch duty
- Provide classroom coverage for teacher breaks
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment
- Other duties as assigned by the Administrator
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires prolonged sitting or standing or walking and use of office equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue. Occasional lifting of boxes and mail delivery.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a school office/building during normal school hours. Some evening hours for School Registration and Parent/Teacher Conferences.
