JOB SUMMARY
Servant leader and coach for two or more agile scrum teams ensuring the effective implementation, use and practices of the agile framework in achieving business value. Works closely with Product Owner to drive on-time delivery of roadmap items. Responsible for taking an active role in the scrum process and ceremonies from initation to delivery.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Support stakeholders to ensure the highest quality products to our customers.
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including: daily stand ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint demos, and sprint retrospectives.
Owns, reports and resolves team blockers/impediments as it pertains to Sprints. A
ttend bug-triage meetings and help prioritize fixes or re-work.
Responsible for establishing and reporting on capacity, burndown and velocity for each sprint.
Establish and facilitate a regular backlog grooming cadence to keep backlog organized, prioritized and properly managed.
Utilize Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence & Smartsheets for backlog management, team collaboration and sprint/project tracking.
Coordinate project activities and ensure teams are updating stories, tasks, defects and project plans.
Provide continuous mentoring to the teams on the Agile framework and Scrum methodology.
Work with program/project managers to report dependencies, impediments and issues as needed.
Establish a process to drive continuous improvements based on sprint retrospective feedback.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Experience working in medium to large scale consumer facing product development
Solid track record building and releasing new products from conception to production
Possess technical knowledge of multiple platforms and form factors (web, phone, tablet, TV, etc.)
Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative Agile environment
Aptitude and eagerness to learn from a new environment and make an impact quickly
Ability to foster change
Ability to motivate others
Ability to manage complex and diverse projects, including multiple projects and tasks
Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations

Understands both Scrum and Kanban methodologies and can easily interchange based off team needs
Extensive experience working with JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile development tools
Demonstrated analytical skills
Demonstrated business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve business results
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Related industry experience (Telecommunications, etc.) - 4
Experience as Scrum Master - 3
Preferred Education
AGILE scrum certified (Certified Scrum Master-CSM), or equivalent.

Running agile development teams at an enterprise organization
