ABOUT YOU
As a Seasonal Supply Chain Analyst, you will be working with our warehouse operations team and our third-party logistics (3PL) partners to monitor the quality of our products and customer orders. Our Analyst will spend their first two weeks on the job learning all parts of our warehouse operation in order to best serve the team. Then, using data, reports, and metrics, you will monitor trends in quality and will learn to escalate quality issues with Operations Management, the Merchandising teams, and/or Customer Service. Resolving quality issues in partnership with these teams will require creativity and analytical skills to assist in updating processes, packaging, systems changes, and more.
You will also be partnering with the Analytics team to work on data and reporting requests from the Operations team. Projects will range from building and adjusting SQL queries, building dashboards in Tableau, and creating dynamic Excel documents. In addition to working on these requests, you may also collaboratively work on improvements to existing tools and data used by the Operations team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a seasonal full-time position expected to last through the end of December 2022. The Seasonal Supply Chain Analyst will work onsite Monday – Friday at our Brooklyn Army Terminal location in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Hours can be worked flexibly between 8 AM to 8 PM, 40 hours per week. Masks are currently required for all team members while working onsite; we require regular testing on a monthly basis.
The Supply Chain Analyst will report to the Head of Operations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting and data
  • Maintain reports that are currently in use in the operation
  • Build new reports and queries as needed
  • Streamline and improve reporting
  • Quality
  • Run and distribute reports for weekly quality metrics for the operation
  • Work with managers in Operations to improvement processes and quality
  • Do weekly deep dives on quality data to provide insights to Operations management and other departments
  • Collaborate with other departments
  • Merchandising/Buying – Become familiar with the buying and onboarding processes to better understand upstream solutions
  • Customer Service – Ensure quality information is being communicated regularly between the warehouse and Customer Service
  • Work with Analytics department
  • Work on select projects with Analytics that pertain to Operations

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate to strong proficiency in Excel
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to handle several projects at once, balancing priority and urgency
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, including the ability to analyze complex data, extrapolate it to the big picture and present clear and concise information
  • Able to communicate ideas and data effectively to managers in multiple departments
  • Ability to proactively identify problems or trends and create applicable solutions
  • Customer-focused in urgency and thoroughness while correcting quality issues
  • Fast learner, especially when learning new systems
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant analytics experience preferred
  • Warehouse operations experience preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL, VBA, and Tableau preferred
