ROLE OVERVIEW

Perform protective, preventative, safety and security related enforcement functions touring facility to ensure the safety and well-being of customers, visitors and staff. Implements and monitors all security operations in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain security of premises and safety of patrons
• Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and manner
• Control access of patrons
• Respond to over-intoxication, fire, and health/safety related incidents
• Maintain legible incident reports
• Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Coordinate with police, fire and emergency medical personnel
• Knowledge of maximum occupancies and applicable fires and liquor laws and regulations
• Assist and/ or complete additional job-related tasks as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift. Must be physically fit and able to restrain individuals or break up physical altercations that may occur. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property. Must be able to lift or reach arms over head or below waist. Must be able to hold or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to see, hear and speak with or without accommodation.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work in well-lit or dimly lit areas. Must be able to work in moderately to extremely noisy areas. Must be able to work in various temperature settings or areas, such as temperature-controlled walk-in freezers, indoor areas exposed to outdoor weather conditions, or outdoor areas. Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Previous Security experience preferred.

PERSONALITY/OTHER

Must be confident, great communicator with the ability to communicate in English, as well as oral and written communication skills. Must have a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize quickly, efficiently and under pressure/deadlines. Must be able to work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays. Must present well to others in a positive and professional manner both internally and externally. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess and maintain a valid Food Handlers Certificate. Obtain any required alcohol service licensing requirements in ordinance with state liquor laws.
