YOUR ROLE

Polaris is assisting our Client – a premier player in the hospitality industry – as they hire a Security Director for a high-end hotel in the New York City area. While an employee of the Client, the Security Director will work closely with Polaris to staff and oversee the physical security presence onsite, ensuring that the hotel and its guest remain safe, secure, and well-cared for over the course of their stay. Other responsibilities will include enforcing strict access control, leading investigations in the case of an incident, and navigating crisis response.

Polaris would prefer guards with experience in all of the following:

• Monitor, control, and patrol staff entrances on a regular basis.
• Direct and administer the implementation of all safety and security programs and initiatives.
• Lead, coordinate, and facilitate the work of all security team members, managers.
• Lead investigations into accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities, and complete or oversee accurate reports and documentation for each incident.
• Patrol the hotel and property to identify potential safety risks, security risks, and undesirable conditions.
• Respond to emergency situations directly, including but not limited to safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
• Liaise with federal, state and local law enforcement when needed.
• Respond to and resolve guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Coordinate additional personnel for Conference and Banqueting functions.
• Ensure tours are carried out for the purpose of fire prevention, safe means of escape, and security.
• Liaise with Departmental Heads to ensure that hotel staff is aware of their security responsibilities.
• Plan, deliver, and facilitate regular staff awareness trainings.
• Be conversant in company terrorist procedures, and convey procedures to staff.
• Be conversant in hotel Fire and Emergency procedures.
• Manage key control within all departments.
• Screen any goods that are received or distributed.
• Operate, check, and monitor the hotel surveillance system.
• Understand guest inquiries and provide clear, concise responses.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all guests and hotel information.

The salary for this position is $110,000 and $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
