Job description
The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of hospital grounds, employees, patients, and visitors. Must be aware of all hospital codes and be able to respond appropriately. Security Officers conduct investigations, coordinate efforts with hospital staff, and act as a line of defense from outside criminal threats. The Security Officer works alongside clinical staff in caring for patients, specifically patients presenting a safety/security risk to staff and visitors. Protects property and persons on hospital premises; patrols buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism; staffs parking lot booth on a rotating basis.
What You Need to Be Successful:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of experience in the security field or related responsible experience with public contact. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and proper cash handling ability. Current driver's license and good driving record to travel to various hospital properties
