IMMEDIATELY HIRING NYS LICENSED SECURITY GUARDS
Position Summary
A Security Officer’s main function is to observe and report. The officer maintains a safe and secure environment for clients and employees. They detect suspicious activity, monitor the premises and report all incidents in a timely fashion.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Prevent damage or injury by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; deter trespassers.
- Respond to alarms or calls of distress.
- Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation
- Use radios and/or cell phones to stay in contact with Security personnel
- Call for Police assistance if necessary
- Perform Escorts within the Airport for non-Port Authority Badged personnel
- Control traffic by directing drivers
- Regulate and monitor building systems
- Operate screening machinery including X-ray machines, magnetometers and wands.

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including all shifts, weekends and holiday’s
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
- Must be able to follow detailed procedures
- Must have strong Customer Service skills
- Strong surveillance skills
- Must be dependable
- Must project a professional image and maintain CLPA uniform standards
- Strong integrity, ethics and emotional control

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to report to work on time in all types of weather
- Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time in all types of weather
- Able to stand for 8 hours
- Able to climb multiple flights of stairs
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires you to obtain Airport Badging and The Department of Homeland Security requires an extensive background check to obtain badging which include 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, credit, education, and personal references. Applicants must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration. Corporate Loss Prevention will consider qualified candidates with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Education: High school diploma/GED
- 18 years of age
- Security Guard training and/or license
- Have the legal right to work in the United States
- Driver’s License (if contractually required)
- State Photo Identification
- Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment screening requirements
- Fireguard license (if contractually required)
- Criminal Background check
- Medical exam (if contractually required)
- Verifiable Security Experience ( between 1 year to 3 years depending on contract)
- Previous employment verification
Job Type: Full-time
Full work uniforms will be provided for all employees
Salary: $18.00 -$20
