Job description

The Self-Help Contruction Supervisor is responsible for supervising construction activities in the Self-Help Housing Program.

Duties and Responsibilites include but are not limited to the following;

• Oversees the outsourcing of construction to different subcontractors.
• Serves as the LIFT Community Action Agency representative at the construction site and communicates with subcontractors, suppliers, group workers and government inspectors.
• Is the agency's sole representative at the construction site and must manage all issues, concerns, unforeseen events or problems that may develop during the entire self-help home construction process.
• Assist the Self-Help Housing Program Director in reviewing any changes on the self-help home plans; responsible for reviwing the construction budget; ensures all federal and state safety procedures and regulations are followed.
• Responsible for reviewing the construction budget to ensure the estimates are accurate, reasonable and acceptable. Responsible for leading, planning and overseeing payment to the subcontractors and suppliers including any work or building materials provided.
• Performs all duties as may be assigned by the Self-Help Program Director.
