We have 11 clinics located throughout the River Region, 2 mobile clinics, and 4 school-based clinics in partnership with Montgomery Public SchoolsHSI is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing management with relevant financial data necessary for budgetary and financial decisions. The position involves general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing and budgetary controls.
This position typically works a standard schedule of 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, however, schedule adjustments may be necessary based on need.
Job Duties:
- Prepare a wide array of General Ledger (GL) Journal entries, including month end entries, adjusting entries, computerized entries, etc.
- Develop and distribute surveys to patients, staff and board members to determine the areas of improvement to achieve the desired cultural sensitive and compassionate environment.
- Assist in, the preparation and production of payroll, to include printing time & attendance (TA) reports, distribution of TA reports, gathering and correcting TA data, gathering all needed PR forms, entering TA data in the Sage/MIP Payroll (PR) system, all adjustments and maintenance required in PR system, production of PR checks, production of a wide variety of various schedules for taxes, leave, and other PR matters.
- Assists in the management and production of quarterly, annual reports, such as State Unemployment Insurance, quarterly Federal 941 reporting, annual reports, W-2's, etc.
- Be competent in all aspects of PR, in the absence of PR manager.
- Assists the Controller in all aspects of Fixed Assets (FA) management, utilizing the Sage/MIP software package for management and depreciation of FA. This includes inventories, schedules, gathering financial data, entering financial data into MIP software, and reporting.
- Assists, as requested, in the accounts receivable / billing / insurance aspect of HSI to include reports, research and many other aspects of AR.
- Protect the confidentiality of all payroll/organization/records information.
- Assists in the production of month end reports, related to monthly Finance Meetings.
- Assists the Controller, and Chief Financial Officer, in any duties, as requested.
- Assists the Accounts Payable Manager in all facets of the production and management of Accounts Payable operations.
- Assists the Financial Assistant in the daily production of mail/cash receipts and deposits.
- Assists in taking deposit to bank, and related reports.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Three (3) years accounting and three (3) years payroll experience required.
