POSITION PURPOSE
A Global Trade Services (GTS) Sr Analyst, should be familiar with laws and regulations governing general Compliance including but not limited to First Sale, Anti-Dumping Countervailing Duty, 301 tariff and Exclusions. This Analyst should have experience with First Sale and at the transactional level be familiar with customs recordkeeping requirements to support First Sale transactions. This position will also be responsible for data management, develop and analyze broker performance metrics, identifying problems, and develop recommendations that support GTS and Logistics management. Solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of business goals and standards. Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, interact with multiple levels and functions with the Logistics organization.
Performs daily project activity coordination for multiple large-scale initiatives involving US Customs Compliance in areas such as Section 301 Tariffs, First Sale, Antidumping and Countervailing activities and ad hoc requests.

Performs development and implementation of process improvement opportunities associated with assigned projects.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Assists with maintenance of import/export processes and controls and collaborate with team members to drive trade compliance solutions that maximize global import/export efficiency on First Sale
  • Seeks automation opportunities and leverage technologies to drive compliance with global trade regulations
  • Monitor global import/export regulatory and procedural changes to help prepare draft guidelines for communicating to management and stakeholders
  • Interface with cross functional groups to identify and rectify any information/process gaps during the export/import process
  • Generate and contribute to performance metrics for all related activity
  • Develops business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product or technology. Identifies process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking, critical thinking and analysis

This position reports to Manager

This position has no Direct Reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

License Customs Broker Certification (LCB) preferred.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years Customs Compliance related experience along with first sale exposure

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Math or Finance Degree Master's Degree
Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology
Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word and Visio.
Advanced Skills in: Access, SQL, Big Query, Tableau, Visual Basic Skills for Data Acquisition and Analysis, Process mapping skills, SSIS and data mining.
