Reporting to the Senior Director, Donor Relations, the Senior Associate Director helps manage a variety of activities that excite Foundation donors interest and strengthen their connection to the impact of their giving.
The Senior Associate Director produces high-quality donor relations products and experiences and assigns and manages the work of in-house and external specialists who produce/coordinate proposals, impact reports, and other donor relations activities.The Senior Associate Director directly supervises one or more donor relations professionals.
Due to Covid-19, employees of LPFCH (Lucile Packard Foundation for Children s Health) are currently working remotely, with the expectation of returning to the office within the next few months (subject to extensions as circumstances warrant). Once the office reopens, employees will transition to a hybrid work model. Please note that LPFCH has a Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy and that all new employees must submit proof of their Covid-19 vaccination and booster vaccines at the time their employment commences. Alternatively, prior to commencing employment, new employees may request approval for accommodation for an exemption to the policy as permitted by law.
Local candidates are preferred. Fully remote candidates will be considered. Please note, if a remote candidate is selected for the position, compensation will be adjusted for their geographic location.

GENERAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in defining LPFCHs donor relations strategy in adherence with its standards.

• Partner with the Senior Director, Donor Relations, and leaders of gift officer teams to develop overarching donor relations and stewardship strategies for their teams donors.

• Help identify new donor relations activities that will broaden and deepen the experience of donors around their giving through the Foundation.

• Recommend new approaches, procedures, and processes to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

• Proactively monitor and manage the donor relations needs of donors.

• Build an understanding of selected donors involvement and giving activity.

• Directly manage one or more members of the donor relations team.

• Assign and manage the work of donor relations specialists and contractors to ensure high productivity and quality deliverables. This may include video and digital production management.

• Produce high-quality written proposals and reports that build donor engagement by detailing the use of donors gifts and demonstrating the importance of philanthropy to clinical, research, and training initiatives at Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital Stanford and Stanford University School of Medicine.

• Ensure all communications are consistent with the Lucile Packard Foundation and Stanford Medicine brand and platform, and are aligned with organizational goals.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
