Senior Business/Data Analyst

Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Senior Business/Data Analyst. The successful candidate will utilize critical thinking skills to turn data into information and information into insight to be used in building out the cloud data warehouse and systems. Analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. We need a self-starter who is on top of emerging technologies. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a business/data analyst, a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases and system/warehouse requirements creation. Additionally, the Senior Business/Data Analyst may participate in testing of the systems, integrations, warehouse to confirm development meets requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
• Structure large data sets to find patterns to assist in integrations and testing
• Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
• Use tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources to meet business needs
• Remove corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems
• Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
• Work with programmers, engineers, and principal data analysts to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies
• May assist in managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion
• Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary
• Process confidential data and information according to guidelines
• Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising requirements
• Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems
• Troubleshoot warehouse and system data questions and issues
• Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems
• Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing

Skills:

• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical and lay terms
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets
• Understanding of addressing and metadata standards
• High-level written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL and Python
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

The Essentials:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field
• Ability to work independently while exercising good judgment and discretion
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
