ABOUT THIS ROLE

This role is responsible for managing instructional materials and making adjustments to the current curriculum to ensure complete biblical accuracy as well as updating tone and language to reflect current Churchome . The Senior Curriculum Developer will also manage and address concerns regarding the learning standards and consider recommendations for curriculum improvement. This curriculum developer must have extensive knowledge of biblical and theological studies, as well as teaching best practices.

The Senior Curriculum Developer must be a forward-focused, team player with a faith-filled attitude. The role reports to the Content Development Director.

The Senior Curriculum Developer will direct the organization toward its primary objectives for all initiatives and projects based on the goal to be the best at telling the story of Jesus to the world, by performing the following responsibilities.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Curriculum Development

    • Design detailed educational curriculum, including dates, topics and number of hours required per course
    • Develop college-level curriculum video scripts and discussion questions
    • Create and maintain article and resources database for future curriculum development
  • Topical Curriculum Research
    • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
    • Ensure topical research is in alignment with biblical theology
  • Content Development
    • Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions
    • Creation of scripts for recorded content (as needed)
    • Create content that is both biblically accurate and engaging
  • Training and Teaching Others
    • Craft and provide teaching for both live and digital sessions
    • Provide research and teaching guidelines for Grow videos, Questions videos, and others (as needed)
    • Developing pastoral educational trainings or resources

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Curriculum Developer, Biblical/Theological Research Specialist, or Teaching Pastor

  • Educational background in Biblical Studies, Theological Studies, and/or Pastoral Training
  • Strong digital and research skills
  • Excellent collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great networking and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong planning skills, vision, and creative intelligence
  • A passion for education
