Data Science is at the core of our products, with a dynamic roadmap and an even more ambitious vision. To expand our capabilities and develop new features end-to-end, we are looking for experienced Data Scientists to join the Machine Learning Analytics team. ML Analytics is a dedicated team of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and ML Engineers responsible for developing our ML model validation tooling and metrics that enable FLYR to decide where we should invest more time and attention in our algorithms.

What will your journey at FLYR look like: (Responsibilities)

    • Own mission-critical projects to launch new models, model evaluation tools, and capabilities that have an immediate meaningful impact on FLYR’s products with major airline brands
    • Explore, wrangle, and analyze large airline datasets to inform domain understanding, problem framing, and perform feature engineering
    • Use Agile methodologies and scalable practices for model prototyping, enhancement, evaluation, and productization pushing production code to the FLYR codebase
    • Ensure successful project execution and the completion of highly technical tasks
    • Deliver insights from the analysis that provide quantitative support to product feature decision-making
    • Work with managers and domain experts to translate business objectives and requirements into functioning code related to feature engineering and model training/inference
    • Act as a member of FLYR’s global data science organization, providing technical guidance and advice to other team members and fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing

What you should pack for this trip: (Qualifications)

    • Minimum of +4 years of experience as a data scientist working on products that center around Machine Learning
    • Experienced with Python and deep-learning frameworks
    • Skilled in wrangling data in SQL

    • Compensation: The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:
    • Starting minimum: $142,000
    • Role cap: $199,000

    • Skills Challenge - A technical challenge where you get to show off your skills!
    • Onsite/Virtual Onsite - A series of meetings with the hiring team to finalize our evaluation of candidates, assessing leadership, project management, and technical skills.
