The Senior Director will establish and oversee the next version of the information security program at Jackson Hewitt and will report directly to the Chief Information Officer. This is a position where you will lead your own team, partner with leaders across the company, and engage directly with vendors and regulators to help Jackson Hewitt systematically secure our customers’ data, meet our obligations, and execute new business efficiently.
What you’ll do here:
- Update, oversee, and enforce Jackson Hewitt’s Information Security Program
- Create board-level reports on the state of the program
- Oversee service provider security standards and performance
- Establish safeguards and standards for risk management
- Maintain criteria for assessing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and customer data
- Establish enhancements to processes and technologies for managing access controls
- Drive and oversee data inventory and classification exercises
- Conduct routine penetration testing of information systems
- Ensure the effectiveness of the controls used to detect attacks or unauthorized access to information systems.
- 10+ years of proven leadership track record establishing and expanding information security programs in heavily regulated industries
- Highly accomplished at navigating conflicting demands and establishing sound approaches to move forward
- Successful experience with overseeing and securing workloads at scale in cloud environments
- Experience managing expectations and engagements with auditors and partners
- Experience with distributed field operations will be extremely helpful
- History of successfully managing teams
- History of successfully influencing other leaders
- High competency managing performance and setting expectations
- Positive attitude and can-do approach with the ability to be a calming influence under pressure
