Summary
We have a current opportunity for a Digital or Analog Sr. Electrical Design Engineer located at our facility in Littleton, CO. We are looking for someone who is excited about commercial space and the challenges of operating commercial electronics in the harshness of space. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of circuit design including digital and analog design, test, and analysis.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, build, and test of space-based electronics for multiple projects
Electronic circuit design with layout using ECAD software
Work independently owning a circuit or PCA from cradle to grave
Proving out a design using simulation and mathematics
Interacting technically with customers and product/project management
Acting as a mentor to junior engineers
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline, or other related Field
Minimum 7 years of experience designing electronic circuits using ECAD based programs
PCB/Layout experience
Simulation experience using a Spice based tool
Experience working with Software and Mechanical Engineers
Experience working with Test, Procurement, and Manufacturing Teams.
Desired Skills
Two successful product releases.
10 years of professional, relevant experience
Experience designing for commercial space, or traditional space with commercial product experience.
Experience with Eagle, Altium, or Xpedition
Seeking Experience in either Analog or Digital circuit design:

Digital circuit design experience:
Low speed (< 1Mbps) digital communications
ARM or equivalent µC experience
100-T and 1000-T Ethernet Design
PCIe experience, x1, x4, or x16 a plus
QSPI, I2C, LVDS serial communications expertise
USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 experience
RS232, RS422, and variants
Understanding of basic concepts of C programming
High speed (>10Gbps) layout and routing experience a big plus!

Analog circuit design experience:
SMPS design experience with isolated and non-isolated power supplies.
Magnetic design experience a big plus.
Common and Differential Mode power filtering.
Active filter and amplifier design.
High Side FET drive experience with either monolithic or discrete solutions.
GaN FET experience a big plus!

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
