Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement the design with end to end ownership of EE product design throughout all stages of development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in scoping out new product features, creating development plans, and translating features into technical EE system requirements
  • Design Schematics and drive board layout
  • Optimize architecture and circuits for performance, power, signal integrity, and battery life
  • Create and execute verification protocols per the medical device testing requirements
  • create detailed design documentation throughout all stages of development
  • Work closely with CMs for DfM feedback, board bring-up, debug, testing, design, and development for test fixtures for manufacturing
  • Create quick prototype using local and CM resources to ensure design accuracy
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers for development, board bring-up and debug
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers for PCB and battery dimensions, board assembly and thermal optimization
  • Collaborate with CMs and mechanical engineers for development of custom cable interconnects and wire harnesses

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer electronics/medical device
  • Experience with schematic capture tools and layout tools
  • Familiarity with CAD tools like Cadence OrCAD, Allegro
  • Experience working with global contract manufacturers
  • Expertise in hardware integration including microcontrollers, peripheral interfaces (USB, I2C, SPI, storage, high speed serial), power supply design, battery charging, analog signal processing
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, ambiguity, and frequently changing requirements
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully working on complex projects
  • Strong communication skills


The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $175,000.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and business needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
