Atkins North America, Inc. seeks Senior Engineer I (Water Resources) in Tampa, FL: Work on a variety of water-related projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analysis, schematic drainage design and riverine hydraulics. Show competency in performing water resources engineering work and demonstrate a broad knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design methods. Duties include: Perform project and task level planning, scheduling, coordinating and hands-on engineering work in parts of major water resources projects or in a total project of moderate scope; Manage the development and quality control of hydrologic & hydraulic modelling for projects like floodplain mapping, FEMA map revision studies, urban drainage analysis, watershed planning and closed conduit & open channel design; Develop engineering designs including plans, specifications, and contract documents for projects; Review design & drafting work of junior engineers, designers or drafters; Interact and coordinate with external clients during all stages of projects to meet their requirements, time schedules, goals and deadlines; Prepare cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules; Conduct or oversee personnel involved in site visits, field observations, and engineering investigations; Prepare or oversee the preparation of final plans, reports, and presentations and submit them for approval; Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff; and Participate in the management of projects.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental or related) and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience required with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC- HMS, HY-8, CIVIL 3D, and FlowMaster as well as good technical writing skills. Professional Engineering license required. May work at unanticipated work sites throughout the United States. Remote working or telecommuting permitted in all U.S. States, in accordance with company policy.
