Who we are looking for:

Locana is looking for a Senior GIS Consultant - Utility Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the GIS Infrastructure and Applications workstream of a large GIS/EAM implementation project through all phases including blueprint, realization, testing, final preparation, and post go-live support. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in GIS best practices and advise clients on industry best practices. In this role, you will:

• Work with client teams to assess current business and system processes and support definition of solutions, improvement plans, and change management approaches
• Analyze customer business process requirements to develop high quality GIS/EAM integration solutions tailored to the customer’s business and technical needs
• Monitor solution design and delivery to ensure adherence to requirements, scope, and schedule
• Support implementation of configurations that meet solution requirements
• Work with Locana sales and marketing teams to support sales and business development activities as required

Here are the skills and experience we are looking for:

• 7+ years related experience
• Experience in the use of GIS solutions including functional knowledge of leading-edge Esri ArcGIS and Schneider Electric technology (ArcGIS Pro, ArcFM Editor, Enterprise, Mobile)
• Strong industry perspective in the areas of electric and/or natural gas transmission and distribution
• Esri Utility Network upgrade/migration experience
• Experience integrating Esri GIS with other Enterprise platforms including Asset Management software and lifecycle solutions
• Capability to translate business requirements into proposed technical solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to guide an audience through clear, concise communication techniques
• Ability to travel up to 25%

You will need to be able to design and implement a successful project technically but also consider how your work impacts the customer’s people, processes, and technology to ensure projects have a positive business impact and widespread adoption. You will work to build a long-term relationship with customers and continually look for opportunities where adding geospatial technology can enrich the customer’s operations and experience.

Locana offers a competitive compensation package including salary, bonus, and highly valued benefits programs. We are also working to increase wage transparency in an effort to create equity and equality. The annual starting salary range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000. Highly qualified individuals may have the opportunity to earn more.
