At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
• Analyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needs. Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time
• Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures
• Performs and may provide guidance on all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
• May provide guidance for less-experienced software developers in creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
• Performs and provides guidance on software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
• Provides relevant analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
• Thoroughly documents the software or system process for future maintenance and updates
• May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced professionals

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• 10+ years of experience in a professional capacity
• Software Development Experience with JAVA, JSP, J2EE, SQL, WebSphere (7 or higher), Eclipse, Subversion or GitHub
• Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
• Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
• Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.)
• Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

DESIRED

• Experience with Struts, CSS, Html, Unix, Jenkins/EBS

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days. We can only accept Green Card Holders or US Citizens for this program.

The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
