Change Healthcare is looking for a Senior Manager in AI Engineering team which is part of Enterprise Technology organization. This role will require you to lead and mentor highly technical areas and a capable team in implementing solutions in partnership with various business units across Change Healthcare. This role is completely remote with only occasional travel for business meetings.


As a leader for AI Engineering team, you will work with leaders across various business units, Product Management and Data Scientists to deliver high quality AI solutions. You will lead planning and execution of multiple initiatives working with a team of smart engineers. As a leader you will also drive improvements in engineering practices, governance, and quality to achieve best business outcome and team productivity. Besides charting a technical path, you will get to work with passionate and solid professionals across the board by creating lasting partnerships.


Ideal candidate has experience and passion to lead Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) practice in supporting data scientists. Has a solid understanding of ML and AI toolkits and processes such as MLFlow, Model Monitoring, GitOps-style CI/CD, data catalog, feature stores, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of working in Data/ML platform engineering and large-scale distributed systems. Hands on experience in recent past is a big plus
  • 5+ years in direct leadership role leading teams of architects and senior engineers
  • Extensive experience with hiring, growing, and building high performing and large sustainable teams
  • Experience building data and/or AI systems on Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud
  • Proven exceptional communication and leadership skills, with proven abilities to operate in a fast-moving environment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only : The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
