Position Overview

The Sr. Manager, Diversity Equity & Inclusion will play an integral role in enabling the delivery of Encore’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy and initiatives across all Talent related programs and throughout the business. Reporting to the VP, Talent, Learning & Corporate HR, this position will require strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, effective project management, and exceptional communication skills to develop and execute DEI best practices on a broad scale with the goal of driving growth and engagement across all of Encore. The Sr Mgr, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will be highly visible and will interact directly with Senior Executives to promote DE&I – one of our key Strategic Pillars at Encore.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Executives, Business Leaders, HR and other key stakeholders in the strategic planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of key DEI programs throughout the talent lifecycle, ensuring plans are aligned with Encore’s DEI philosophy, Talent Development frameworks, and organizational strategies and goals.
  • Provide guidance to the Business Resources Groups (ERGs) with achieving goals, and advocate for their needs across the company.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders to ideate, incubate, develop, and implement programs and initiatives that support Encore’s DEI strategy.
  • Act as the main liaison with Encore’s partnership on DE&I with Great Places to Work.
  • Lead the strategy and tactics for the Global inclusion Council that acts as the sounding board and decision making entity for DE&I initiatives that span the globe.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to research, analyze, and benchmark people data to drive DE&I priorities and initiatives.
  • Work with Senior leadership to prepare information for board, executive, and company-wide presentations and communications.
  • Manage a broad spectrum of activities ranging from highly strategic to tactical, playing an essential role in supporting the organization focus on achieving DEI goals.
  • Own the development and effective delivery of innovative, immersive training programs that drive DE&I awareness, understanding and action, in partnership with Global Talent Development.
  • Partner with Global Learning & Talent Management Teams Development to ensure DE&I principles and processes are embedded into Encore’s global talent management programs such as Performance Management, Talent Review, Succession Planning and High-Potential Identification to drive equal opportunity for team members.
  • In collaboration with Corporate Communications, build and manage the communication strategy for promoting and highlighting the DE&I throughout the organization.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, ESG, and Communications teams to ensure DE&I strategies are appropriately adopted and incorporated into recruiting and on-boarding, performance, and talent management processes and programs, learning and development opportunities and employee communication and company branding efforts.
  • Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and delivery of key DE&I trainings, both live webinar and on-demand eLearning content.
  • Engage with Human Resources Business Partners and Leadership Team to identify barriers to an inclusive culture and valuing and managing diversity inherent across the business unit(s).
  • Actively participate in key diversity and inclusion community activities, organizations and other programs in support of elevating diversity and inclusion throughout Encore’s communities.
  • Identify and capture quantitative and qualitative data to track, measure progress and return on investment, generate insight to inform business decisions and enable effective reporting to meet legal/regulatory requirements in partnership with the HRIS team.


Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional, experience in roles relating to Diversity, Equity & inclusion; Human Resource; Talent Management, or related functions
  • Familiarity and credibility with marginalized groups in the United States
  • Familiarity with United States labor market through the lens of history, racial inequity, and politics
  • A track record in leading and delivering complex large-scale projects to completion, while managing a range of internal stakeholders
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills; ability to engage diverse audiences and perspectives
  • Program design and evaluation skills, along with outstanding project management skills and experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information concisely into strategic recommendations
  • Experience working with broad workforce groups, including hourly technical, sales teams, as well as Corporate functions
  • Experience and comfort with working directly with Senior Executives
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, complex environment
  • Ability to deliver quality work against deadlines and respond with appropriate levels of urgency, moving seamlessly between strategy and execution

Work Environment

Office

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
