Job summary
Amazon Pay, one of the fastest-growing businesses within Amazon, is seeking a Senior Partner Development Manager reporting to the Head of Partnerships for Amazon Pay, Americas. This role will focus on applying data and trend analysis skills along with industry knowledge, strong communication and influence to identify, recruit, contract and onboard new partners to Amazon Pay.

Key job responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and launch partnerships across technology, marketing, and go-to-market disciplines
  • Determine appropriate go-to-market (GTM) model and commercial terms based on the partner’s strategy, business objectives, and priorities
  • Collaborate with Finance and Partner Marketing to develop and present business cases for investment in new partnerships
  • Evaluate and renegotiate contractual terms of existing partner portfolio to optimize partner productivity and mutual GTM success
  • Collaborate with Americas Sales and Account Management teams in identifying opportunities to unblock merchant adoption of Amazon Pay through new partnerships
  • Advocate internally for merchant features and functionality that will help facilitate a world class feature and tool set
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer and partner behavior, competitive trends and business drivers to inform decision making
  • Manage competing priorities across a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring time is focused on the highest value activities and issues
  • MBA or Master's degree in business, finance, analytics or similar quantitative field
  • Partner or channel management experience
  • Experience analyzing addressable market opportunity and writing business cases
  • Proven ability to prospect, recruit, and manage executive level relationships
  • Strong presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving, issue resolution
  • Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently to create action plans for those goals
  • Strong analytical orientation; comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to analyze issues and create appropriate tactical plans
  • Meticulous attention to detail: ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering quality bar
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
