Job Summary:

The Senior Population Health Analyst is a clinical expert who plays a key role in development, management and implementation of reports to meet quality, performance and organization deliverables. The role is responsible for design, implementation and development of complex reporting solutions and educating provider peers and staff on these solutions. This individual will work with Population Health, Quality and Information Services to identify and prioritize reporting needs; define requirements and system capacity; and design, develop and deploy quality and performance reporting solutions that meet current and foreseeable user needs utilizing the organization’s current data system.

Essential Functions:

Ensure timely adherence to specifications and deliverables for Accountable Care and Payer Group reporting needs and tracking requirements. Works with clinical leaders and providers to identify and prioritize their reporting and analysis needs. Data Analytics experience turning outcomes into actionable information, including identifying and recommending solutions to close care gaps. Experience calculating/evaluation of population health measures/metrics including readmissions. Serves on project work groups and subcommittees. Actively participates in physician division IT committees or teams related to the EMR and/or metric reporting. Works closely with the EPIC reporting team to create and utilize reports to further population health efforts of the department. This role will be vital for predictive analytics validation. Experienced in research and evaluation approaches, exposure and outcome measure definitions, sample size calculations and power analysis. Role includes Project Management of Quality Metrics/Reporting deliverables: Assist in the development of project plans by documenting and communicating goals and providing accurate timelines for developer deliverables. Serves as departmental subject matter expert on clinical data analytics and data interpretation. Must be self-motivated with a high degree of professionalism and initiative. Must maintain a high level of productivity. Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills. Complies with all SVH/SRC policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.

Education:

RN, ARNP, MD or DO required

Experience/Training:

Candidate must have 5 or more years’ experience in: Clinical practice Healthcare or hospital based experience Advanced statistical applications managing reporting, electronic medical record data management or quality equivalent skill Advanced level Excel (Office Suite)License/CertificationRN, ARNP, MD or DO Must have a quality, reporting or data analytics certification.

Other Qualifications:

Proficiency with Microsoft server products from an administrative perspective for strategic reporting needs. Good analytical and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills with the willingness to share information and assist in educating other members of the staff where appropriate. An ability to work under deadlines in a highly demanding environment. The candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work with multiple groups of people with varied skill sets, as well as in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,000.00 - $111,000.00 per year
