Prepare, evaluate and assure Reliability & Maintainability plans for MSFC programs & projects. Supports the development and assessment of FMEA/CIL and their ground-rules. Evaluate project documents related to reliability & maintainability to assure consistency and adequacy with overall project requirements. Perform, develop, and utilize any tools needed to assure that all applicable reliability & maintainability requirements are identified for MSFC programs and projects.

Candidate will be responsible for updating, integrating logic models using quantitative fault tree analysis (SAPHIRE) and maintaining risk models for the SLS elements managed by MSFC. Additional responsibilities include performing focused quantitative risk assessments to support risk-informed decisions pertaining to flight risk and risk mitigation alternatives.

• This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• BS in Engineering for Education required.
• This position requires 7+ years of experience.
• Ability to interface effectively with hardware and systems engineers to develop comprehensive understanding of SLS hardware, operations, and performance; and the ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and integrate failure date with engineering judgment.

WORK LOCATION:

This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule; some hours will be remote, and some hours will be in the office. This position will be located onsite in the future.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:
