POSITION OVERVIEW
The Life Product Operations Analyst will join the Des Moines-based Global Atlantic Life and Annuity Operations team. Key responsibilities include:
- Participate on projects to deliver new, innovative life insurance products
- Validate calculations on policy administrative systems and product illustration systems
- Test and modify Excel spreadsheet calculation tools for internal and external use
- Provide oversight of TPA processes and procedures involving product calculations
- Respond to escalated service issues and resolve production problems
- Support illustration software updates and test user interface and reports
- Assist with product implementation decisions by reviewing business requirements, product specifications, policy contracts, annual statements, and supplemental reports
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and experience equivalent to a four-year college degree in accounting, finance, mathematics or other related field is required
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience; familiarity with life insurance calculations
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, for delivery to a variety of audiences
- Learning mindset, focus on continuous process improvement
- Results-oriented, with ability to execute multiple high-priority items simultaneously
- Effective use of technology and ability to navigate complex virtual environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Experience with individual life insurance or financial services is preferred
